When did you start your blog?
My blog originated from humble beginnings (seriously, I dare you to scroll back through my old posts to see the evolution…). I started blogging about my life ,with a heart to share my passion for running and how running was connected to my faith. Over the years, it has grown into a hodgepodge of life including bits of fashion, faith, fitness, relationships, things I wish I knew in high school/college, travel and the #jounreyofjerandauj.
What are your beliefs?
I believe that the majestic beauty of this world was created by God, and that the human race is His masterpiece. I believe that I was created in the image of God, and I aim to bear that image well. I believe in Jesus Christ as our savior, rescuer, redeemer, and Holy Lord. Ann Voskamp says it this way, “Jesus Christ, the One with no earthly Father, with the dust of this earth between His toes, and with our names etched onto the palm of His hands, right beneath the nail scars…Who now sits at the Father’s right hand making endless intercession on our behalf.” I believe in the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, and I am committed to living out His teachings in the world. I believe that the same power that conquered death is alive in us, and that we have access to it through faith. I believe that our God works miracles and that we get to partner with Him to carry out the work He created us to do. I believe that the Bible is inspired by God, a love letter to His daughters and sons, the embodiment of truth, and our compass. I believe that the Bible sheds light on the dark places. It turns confusion to clarity, despair to hope, defeat to encouragement, and suffering to joy. I believe that there is ALWAYS MORE through Christ.
