My pregnancy journey
Cheers to the second trimester!!! As I write this, I am 18 weeks pregnant. Lotโs of yaโll have been asking how my first trimester has gone so far, so I am going to be sharing about my pregnancy journey here for the next 5 months!
First of all, pleaseeeeee hear me out… I DO NOT claim to be an expert or know what I am doing BY ANY MEANS! This is my first pregnancy and I am learning SOOO much every day! Instead of spewing off advice about what you should and shouldnโt do during pregnancy, I am just simply sharing my journey and testimony on here, in the hopes that some of you pregnant mamas could find encouragement, inspiration, or just have someone to relate with!
Some thoughts…
When we announced we were pregnant, tons of peopleย began informing me about all their pregnancy horror stories. And not even necessarily their own, but they felt compelled to tell me stories about crazy/scary things that happened to their friend’s of friend,ย or what they read on the internet. It’s baffling to me how people are so quick to warn you of everything that could possibly go wrong, but not so quick to rave aboutย all the indescribable joys that pregnancy brings.
When Jeremy and I got engaged, people were the exact same way! They were so quick to warn us of all the horrors and hardships of marriage, and only a few people shared with us about howย marriage is one of life’s greatest blessings! What the heck is wrong with us humans? Why must we focus so relentlessly on the negative or potential negatives… Marriage and babies are some of life’s greatest gifts! I decided to tune out the naysayers and fear-promoters. I don’t want to be crippled by worry. I don’t want to be constantly thinking about everything that could go wrong. And I don’t want to be the mom that warns the future generations about how hard and scary pregnancy and delivery can be. I want to be the mom that gives testimony to the miraculous process of growing a human and the joyous experience of bringing your child into the world! I want to be a mom that gives hope to future momsย about the joy that far surpasses morning sickness and labor pains. This is my heart. ย That being said, I will not shy away from honestly sharing about my own struggles and all the crazy, weird, and laughable symptoms that pregnancy brings;) But these things will always be just “light and momentary troubles” (2 Corinthians 4:17) in comparison to the glorious gift of bearing a child. But here they are accompanied by what I have found to help me through them!
Symptoms & Solutionsย
Extreme fatigue – I was SOOOO tired you guys… Like more tired than after running a half marathon or 6 x 1 mile repeats on the track in college! the good news is, most of this extreme fatiuge hit me during week 6 (I didn’t even know I was pregnant until almost 7 weeks!). At around week 8 I started to feel more energized and less like a zombie. Things that have helped: SLEEP, going to bed early, listening to my body and knowing when to stop and rest,ย and Ningxia Red (this stuff has helped with other symptoms too – more on it later).
Insomnia – Weeks 10-14 I slept horribly… I felt like I had gulped down a 16 oz americano right before laying down – and I haven’t drank coffee my entire pregnancy! (mostly because I all of the sudden didn’t want it anymore… it was weird. I didn’t think it was possible). Anyways, I blame the insomnia on the hormones raging through my body because it was pretty ridiculous how wide awake a feltย every night! I also was NOT comfortable starting around week 12 laying on my belly or back. I am normally a belly sleeper, but I felt like I couldn’t breath when I laid on my stomach or back. So I “slept” upright with a bunch of pillows propped under my back and head. It was a rough first month. Things that have helped: Week 10 was also around the time I really started to invest in essential oils, or what Jeremy refers to as “the potions” ha! I had used them on and off for running, sore muscles, and immune support for the past couples years, but didn’t really dive into them until I got pregnant. I began diffusing a combination of lavender, cedarwood, frankincense, and peppermint in our room at night and it helped with sleep soooo much. Even Jeremy slept better! I also rubbed “breath again” on my neck and chest at night, which helped me feel like I could breathe better. I also discovered THE. BEST. PILLOW. EVER! Total game changer. With this pillow and my oils, I have slept like a dream since week 14!!! ย I did lots of research on pillows before I got one and I HIGHLY recommend this “U” shaped one. It makes it easy to switch which side you’re sleeping on during the night. It’s super soft, all one pillow so there are no weird gaps, and when you’re cuddled up in it does not seem as big as it looks! Jer likes it cause he puts one of his legs over it at night too;) Here’s a link to the pillow >> Pregnancy/nursing pillow<<ย
Breaking outย – By the grace of God I haven’t had too many skin problems over the course of my 25 years (other than sunburns), but pregnancy has brought a lot more color to my face, and not the good kind… I had really blotchy red spots all over my face starting around week 12. It was way worse at night than in the morning. I also broke out all over my forehead and my skin is not it’s normal clear self. I was bummed about this, as most people I know actually had better skin with pregnancy. Things that have helped:ย Ditching all my crappy makeup and skin care products. I got the “Think Dirty” app and started scanning the products I was using on my face and skin and realized how horrible some of them were. I invested some new skincare and makeup products that are organic, free of toxins, parabens, and all that other junk! I plan on doing a post about them sometime next month. I have also been using an oil roller to put Frankincense all over my face at night! The Yong Living skincare line is incredible, free of all the crap cosmetic companies put in their products, and smells SOOOO good! It’s called NEW ART Skin Care System. If you are interested in getting this skin care (or any of the essential oils) for 25% off, send meย an e-mail at oils@aujpoj.com! Gentle baby is another great essential oil that I roll onto my chest, belly, and feet for emotional support, to prevent against stretch marks, andย help with blotchiness/dry skin!
Sugar + sour cravings! – ย To be completely transparent… I ate an entire bag of sour patch kids during week 12… and I’m not talking about the small packets. I didn’t even know that was possible and I don’t even like sour patch kids that much!! Sour candy has definitely been at the top of the list with “bad cravings.” On a good note, the rest of my cravings are mostly healthy. I love putting lemon and lime in and on anything (because the sourness), and I have become obsessed with carbonated water/drinks. LaCroix and Pellegrino have become my best friends! Things that have helped:ย To curb the sugar cravings I take Ningxia Red every day! Ok here’s more deets on that, since I already discussed it up above! Also, mixing a packet of Ningxia Red with LaCroix is bomb!

I am thankful
On the whole, I am very thankful that this pregnancy has pretty smooth overall! Life has been C-R-A-Z-Y for Jeremy and I ever since we found out we were going to be parents, and it only seems to be getting crazier… moving, potentially buying a house, writing a book, Beating50Percent, my shop, filming for LPWB (travel back and forth between Bend and Portland every weekend), teaching barre3… my goodness – insert sweaty tense brow emoji. In light of everything going on in addition to baby Roloff on the way, it’s been a blessing that this pregnancy hasn’t confined me to the toilet. I never really had any of the infamous “morning sickness.” There were a few days where I felt nauseous, but I SWEAR I would just smell my peppermint oil and it would go away! Peppermint helped me so much in the mornings with my light headedness too!!!
18 weeks
We’ve been praying every night for baby Roloff to be healthy and growing just as he or she should! Sometimes we catch ourselves praying, “Lord give him….” or “We ask that you would protect him…” From the beginning, Jer and I have always had a hunch that we would have a boy, but as of the past month or so, we are ironically both hunching girl!
We JUST had our anatomy ultrasound and babyย Roloff would not stop moving. The ultrasound tech was laughing cause baby was just kicking and punching and somersaulting nonstop. She gave us a sealed envelope with photos that indicate the gender and it is taking everything in me to keep it sealed until after the gender reveal. This weekend we are planning on finding out the gender with all our friends and family and doing a big pink or blue explosion;) WHOOO-HOINGGG!!!
My pregnancy musts so far
In this post, I talked a lot about how much Young Living essential oils have helped me in a variety of ways throughout my pregnancy! Butย I have seen success using the oils as support for sleep,ย stress, headaches, sore muscles,ย sunburns, supporting healthy immune systems, hormones, travelย protection, and household cleaning/cooking! I loveย knowing that there is nothing more natural, and that they don’t comeย with horrible side effects and long term dangers like many otherย toxic options thatย are sold in stores!ย Jeremy and I havenโt gone cold turkey on all conventional OTC medicines and householdย products yet, but we are gradually making the transition toย chemical free products through Young Living like; detergent, dishย soaps, handย soaps, cleaning products, shampoos, deodorant, shave creams andย toothpaste! They smell good, work good, and you can trust they are safe!
If you are interested in finding our more about Young Living essential oils you can contact me atย oils@aujpoj.comย for more info, or click >>HERE<< to get your starter kit and become a Young Living MEMBER – you will get 24% off retail prices!!! ***You won’t get the discount if you sign up as a retail customer, you have to sign up as a member!

You look amazing!! When you use the oils at night how many drops do you use of each oil??
Depends which oils! But generally 2 or 3!
Just a quick story about Ningxia Red. We are all Young Living members in my family. My daughter drank her Ningxia Red all through her pregnancy – my newest granddaughter is 6 weeks old! She had read good things about how it was good for the placenta. When the placenta was delivered, both the doctor and nurse were amazed at how healthy it was. The doctor said she was surprised at all the life that was left in it after providing for little Anna for 9 months. So, drink up!!
Hi Audrey, I typically don’t go out of my way to leave comments on blogs etc. however, I felt very compelled to tell you I think you are just one of the most vibrant, kind, intriguing goal orientated women and I truly hope my two little girls look at life the way you do !! You make me feel like there is hope for my little girls to grow up in a world full of some not nice things, but yet see the beauty in everything !! I also had fantastic pregnancies and I think you and Jeremy will be amazing parents !! You just figure it as you go and lean on family when you need it ๐
God bless you, Jeremy and baby and Roloff!
(Us humans can be a strange lot. I have always said if you have a hang nail there will be story about someone who died from a hang nail. lol)
Greetings from the Philippines! So excited when I read that you are pregnant. You’re doing a good job! Take care always and pray to the Lord that He keeps you and your baby healthy.
Love your blog updates on how your pregnancy is going! I wish you good health with your little one! =)
I am guessing you are having a girl just by your cravings (though I know this is a wives tale), but I had the exact same cravings eating bags of sour patch kids and sweet tarts nonstop around the same time. Found out I was having a girl ๐ Skin problems as well. Just a fun guessing game. Wish you all the best. You will have your own pregnancy and birth experience, and even if it doesn’t happen the way you planned, you will persevere through it. Plus everyone told me how bad it was going to be, but I wouldn’t have changed my labor and delivery for the world. Parenting is way harder than pregnancy and labor combined, but you learn quickly and in your own way. I think people talking about their experience just helps them through it. I doubt they do it to scare you.
I’m so excited for you guys, and I’m so glad you’re feeling well!!! I had 2 wonderful pregnancies and deliveries – I was never sick, I felt great (at times I felt better pregnant than when I wasn’t pregnant!), and both of my deliveries were super quick and easy – just a few pushes and they were out, haha! Obviously everyone likes to say what can go wrong, but remember that everything can also go right. ๐ AND I LOVE that you’re using Young Living oils!!! They have changed my family’s lives!! Praying for you that this pregnancy continues to be smooth. Love the updates!!! ๐
AHHH!! We need more testimonies like this:) Thank you for sharing Angie!
I have had 6 uneventful natural deliveries. And other than some morning sickness I felt very good when I was pregnant. (I guess that’s why I did it 6 times lol) Thank you for sharing your lives with us viewers. May many blessings fall upon you.
Hi Audrey! Congratulations on your pregnancy! I’m so glad to hear that things are going well and that you’re enjoying this very special time in your life. I have two daughters of my own — Clara is 7 and Elyse is 5 — and wouldn’t trade any moment of either of their pregnancies — the good, the bad and the ugly — for anything. You are so correct — It is important to realize that, although not all pregnancies are created equal, they are each special and worth celebrating in their own ways. It’s too bad that sometimes women are all-too-eager to share the gory over the glory when it comes to pregnancy and childbirth. But, as long as you keep focusing on the positive, you will be able to enjoy the remainder of your pregnancy and all of the years of fun to come with a sense of grace and confidence — both of which will serve you well during the all of the changes and challenges (both good and bad) yet to come.
I think it’s great that you discovered the amazing benefits of essential oils! I’m also a Young Living distributor and a Clinical Aromatherapist. I became interested in aromatherapy after having my second daughter. Believe it or not, it was during a hunt for chemical-free diaper pail fresheners that I realized, “Hey, I can make my own with just water, baking soda and essential oils.” That little discovery led me to the wonderful world of essential oils, aromatherapy and, eventually, Young Living. So glad to hear that that oils have been serving you well. I use mine all the time and am slowly trying to eradicate my home from chemicals. I also suffer from an autoimmune disease and know that any inflammation I experience is due to pollutants, etc.
Hope you’re feeling well today and I’m looking forward to reading your pregnancy updates. Although, my family is complete and there will be no more babies for this mama, I always love to read about other moms-to-be and their experiences. ๐
Awe Jennifer thank you so much for you kind words of encouragement! And I love that you discovered EO’s by looking for a diaper pail freshener! So awesome. Thanks for reading!
You’re welcome! I hope that you’re feeling well today. Enjoy your weekend!
Congrats on your pregnancy!
I’ve noticed that you are using peppermint EO a lot. I just wanted to say, if you plan on trying to breastfeed, to make sure to stop using it after you give birth. Peppermint (and really all mint, I believe) decreases your milk supply and is also harmful to your LO (which is why baby vicks is different than adult Vick’s). I had no clue about that until after I had given birth and gone to a lactation support group. So just in case you didn’t know. I hope this helps!
Again, congrats! I had my LO a little over a year ago, and he was the best thing to happen to us, and our marriage!
Yes, I plan to breastfeed and plan to stop when the time comes! Don’t you worry;) Thank you!
Love the updates! Can’t wait to see what baby R will be, but I’m guessing girl based on cravings! And here’s one more fear mongering story for you…. My labor was amazing and went smoothly and I had a glass of wine an hour after birth! It was awful! ๐ lol!
Audrey, I am so excited for you and Jeremy to experience parenthood! It is a journey like no other. Every day your precious baby will learn something new and it is amazing to watch! Even though it has been 35, 32, and 28 years since I was pregnant, I remember how wonderful it was and how great I felt! My husband and I will celebrate our 38th anniversary in May and we now have the joy of watching our 3 and 4-year old grandsons grow and change and it’s just as fun as when ours were growing up!
I also want to take the opportunity to thank you and Jer for your testimonies. I love following your walk with the Lord and watching you minister to other couples. He has given you a great vision and ministry!
When the naysayers want to share the sad, hard, and downright gory stories, look to His Word. My life verse is Jeremiah 29:11.
Blessings, prayers and love to y’all!

Hi hi hi!
I just left you a little message and then it blocked me. ๐
Thanks for sharing your heart and journey. Love following you and Jeremy and seeing how the Lord is using you all for His Kingdom. Thank you for fighting not only for your marriage, but also those of others. #TeamMattandAmy so glad that our God can do much more than we ever can! And basically I think we should be friends. Come to Florida sometime. (That’s not creepy, right?) I’ve been with YL for a few years and have loved it. Peppermint all the way! (Pure Haven Essentials also has all natural goodies – including some makeup and such.) oh! Actually I have an essential oil jewelry shop too. Can I send you some goodies somehow?
Enjoy this season and excited to see where the Lord takes you!
So happy I’ve been able to get on your blog. Silly me I couldn’t find it for a while. Love hearing your stories and how you’re doing through this pregnancy. Keep healthy and keep that baby of ours doing well
How have you dealt with pregnancy sickness ?

I have 3 boys my self there 16, 14 and 12 the teenage years yikes hehehe no truely children are such a blessing in our lives I wouldnt have it any other way .

One last thing Essential oils are AMAZING ????????
First of all, CONGRATS! You look amazing ๐
Long story short… I found you on instagram, fell in love with your beating 50 and personal page, and just want to thank you for helping us in a way you just don’t see! Very inspiring and helpful with a beautiful Godly outlook on things with all aspects of life!
We found we are pregnant as well! This Sunday, April 2, I will be 17 weeks! It’s been a journey for us. Just wanted to ask you though, do you put young living directly on your skin? I have always been a fan of young living (when my younger sister got sick, it was a life saver), but I have been nervous to use them during pregnancy. I use lavender on my skin for acne, make my own lotion, but for the nausea (because I am sick as I write this hah) I have been afraid to rub peppermint on my belly, even though I know it works! Do you usually just diffuse or do you use them directly? I have read, researched and people are both ways! My doctor isn’t much help either. I guess I am just looking for advice because I feel like a hot mess still trying to figure my body out. I haven’t felt excited yet, which makes me feel like a terrible mother. I have just been blah and it still doesn’t seem real. I know pregnancy is a blessing and a miracle, it truly is, just thought I would react differently. I have been praying constantly that I can change my attitude and that the holy spirit helps me and directs me in a new way with this journey. (for my husbands sake too because he is doing his best and keeping us excited, he’s been phenomenal) Do you ever get that? Also with this whole appetite thing, I just gave up on vegetables, when that was all I ate before in life LOL! Now it is just whatever can be kept in my system because again, morning sickness is not just morning, it is all day baby! Do you feel bad in your diet or have you been using your recipe books? I am trying so hard to eat my best, but my taste buds are very specific and crazy right now! I do take my garden of life prenatals everyday, but other then that, it’s been a routine of whatever my stomach can handle that day. Anyways, I just have been looking for someone who is about the same pregnancy timeline as me and found you and I was like ahhh she may be able to relate! I can tell you’re a busy lady so no worries if you can’t respond! Just thought I would try! Thanks for reading my vent/pour out! Praying for you guys and super pumped for you!!
You’re a doll!! Even more adorable pregnant! I just became a Nanny G in November to my first grand baby. My daughter is a mid-wife and I AGREE with you 100%. Pregnancy should be cherished not feared. Yes bad things can happen, they happen all the time in more than just pregnancy and childbirth. We all just need to know there is a plan and all our worries will not do anything to change what the Lord has in store for us! Love each and every second of this journey! Enjoy feeling that little life moving and growing inside of you. It is a beautiful experience, gift and blessing as you say!
Hugs and love to you and your extended family! I was lucky enough to meet Amy in Traverse City, MI several years ago!! You all are kind souls! Keep doing what you’re doing, “it’s all good”! <3
Congratulations! I’m sending you all my well wishes! I recently got engaged and had the same experience as you. Every woman I told immediately said things like “oh, planning a wedding is such a stressful nightmare!” and saying “do this don’t do that”, I found it so strange! I’ll just say that I hope you enjoy every moment of your journey! A baby is such a blessing.
I am 26 weeks pregnant and will be 27 weeks on Friday. During my first trimester I would fall asleep on the couch around 7:30/8 each night. It was like a freight train had hit me and I couldn’t stay awake. My husband thought it was funny a few times and he would get into my face then yell! He even took a picture of me sleeping with my head down looking at my phone. The only problem I have about being pregnant is the whole giving birth thing. I don’t like needles or anything like that so I’m hoping for a fast labor!
My doctor had said that around 18 weeks you might be able to feel movement from the baby. I had no clue but one of the nurses had said that if it seems like gas in your tummy and you don’t fart, then it could definitely be baby moving!! Being pregnant for 9 months seems like a long time but now I’m going into my 3rd trimester!!
I love reading your blog!
I love that you pointed out the negativity people share with you about your marriage and pregnancy. My husband and I felt the same way! There were a few good folks who would say things like “keep holding her hand” or “pregnancy is beautiful” and those were the words from people we remember. They seem to have it “together” and are usually wise beyond their years! I diffused oils during labor to help bring in some relaxation and use them religiously every day. My son refers to them as ‘tickle oils’ since we rub them on his feet. ๐
Congrats on your pregnancy! I’ve recently discovered EO’s as well and am IN LOVE with them. I can’t wait to hear what baby will be and I wish you all of the best with your pregnancy. You will have many seasons of life and just take the time to enjoy each one!
Congrats! Enjoy the ride…I’m a mom of daughters around your age….it all seems to go by in a blink of an eye. Your certainly are a woman with wisdom beyond your years! Thanks for being a blessing to all.
Thank you for being so open about your pregnancy journey. I am also pregnant and due in September with our second child. It’s amazing what our bodies are capable of and experience during this beautiful time of motherhood. I wish you nothing but smooth sailing for the rest of your pregnancy and delivery.
Love to read you blogs, although I am over 50, not young and married. you are always an encouragement to me. Its so awesome to see young people so in love with the Lord and each other. Ya’ll are so wise. You and Jeremy are a blessing to me. Congratulations to you both on the baby. Praying for a great pregnancy, easy birth and delivery when it is time.
Praying for continued blessings to come ya’lls way.
Hey Audrey! You’re about three weeks behind me! After having our son in 2014 we are having a daughter. They will be a month shy of three years appart and I cannot begin to describe what a blessing our son is. It is so crazy how much love you can feel for such a tiny human who thinks he can do everything by himself (toddler years). So many times he is not listening or being stubborn and my husband and I look at each other and just smile and rejoice that God entrusted us with him. We got married at 18&20 and I had him when I was 21 and my husband 23. I asked him if he ever felt like he was missing out on things that other guys his age are doing and he said that they have no idea what they are missing out on. It’s hard but oh so worth it.
My first pregnancy I was exhausted the first trimester and had swelling that started at 6 weeks and got worse the further along I was. My labor was not what I ever wanted or hoped for. I asked God for a sign or something because I had read somewhere that there were women who had supernatural pregnancies and childbirths. I found a book last year called Supernatural Childbirth by Jackie Mize and I could not recommend it more. It changed my whole perspective on pregnancy and childbirth. This pregnancy has been so good, amazing actually. Jackie explains things concerning pregnancy/childbirth that she learned from God’s Word and applied to her life. She had 4 kids when doctors told her she would never ever be able to concieve naturally or stay pregnant and she has had 3 births without pain. It really is worth the read for you and Jeremy.
I hope you have an amazing pregnancy and that you two enjoy the last few weeks together as a family of two. Because the moment that baby is born your lives will change forever. And it will be the most amazing thing that has happened to your marriage.
I’m sorry this comment is already so long but I think it’s awesome that you wanna breastfeed. I breastfead my son until he was 2 years and 3 months old and it was the hardest, most selfless, rewarding, bonding experience ever. There were so many times I just wanted to give up but I kept on going because I saw that he needed it. And I plan on breastfeeding our daughter too past the age of two. Kellymom and LLL were realy good resources when I felt a little lost in the beginning. And look up cluster feeding it will save you a lot of stress ๐
God bless you!
Audrey,
I am soooo excited for this new journey that you and your husband are embarking on! I loved reading about your first trimester! I felt really convicted when you talked about horrors and hardships of pregnancy because I complained almost the whole time during both my pregnancies (My husband and I have two girls, three and 3 months) and looking back it almost brings me to tears because I couldn’t imagine my life without them and I wish I would have enjoyed the journey of each pregnancy a little more. The moment you hold your new baby in your arms you will hardly remember life without him or her and all the hardships of pregnancy will melt away.
God is truly a father of good, good gifts.
Again, I am so excited for you and I can’t wait to see more of your pregnancy journey.
Many blessings!
-Gabrielle
I found the exact same thing with negativity during pregnancy. Everyone loved telling how hard it is. Like I would say “I’m tired” because #pregnancy and people would say “just you wait, this is nothing”. It drove me nuts and also made me live out the whole pregnancy on fear! But then I had my sweet baby girl, and it wasnt that hard. It was amazing and good and that completely shocked me. So now I try to say to my pregnancy friends that parenthood is great. It is very wise to not let people take that away from you ๐
Hi! Enjoying your blogs and hearing how the Lord is working in your lives! Love how you are choosing JOY instead of FeAR in this season. You are so right- everyone gives you their horror stories. My husband and I were surprised by our first pregnancy right after our honeymoonBUT I was also surprised to find out how empowering giving birth was! I was surprised how much I loved being a mom. And I was surprised how healing birth was after years of insecurity and body issues. I truly look back on Myla birth experiences and think, if I can do that, I can do anything! ๐
Obviously meeting your child is a huge blessing, but I trust that this process will be full of many other joyous surprises and blessings!
Hugs to you momma! Excited for you guys!
Melissa
I love this blog post and I am not even pregnant nor do I have kids yet. I am saving this post though to look back on when the time comes to remind me to focus on my journey and not allow others thoughts, opinions, experiences to weigh too heavily on me. I say this because I have often feared that I would have a hard time letting comments roll off my back when pregnant. I have a hard enough time doing this not pregnant. I just need to focus on my journey, my husband, Jesus, and opinions that I respect. All this to say, congratulations!!!!!!!! Big fan of you and Jeremey ๐
Congratulations on baby Roloff. Negativity in pregnancy is the last stress any pregnant person needs so it’s awesome you are putting that aside. Your growing baby is a blessing from God and every pregnancy is different and no two alike. I absolutely love you are finding natural remedies such as essential oils. Peppermint truly is relaxing and please continue to share this blessed journey. God bless you both as you continue this journey and enjoy every moment of pregnancy. I do believe that you should never get rid of anything you wrote during pregnancy or even after because it is an awesome way to remember how good pregnancy felt and to read and remember the excitement, joys and blessings. I started a scrapbook when I was pregnant instead of a baby book because a scrapbook can always be added onto as time passes and a good thing to hand down to your child.

Congratulations on your baby girl ????????????.I had a baby boy in my first pregnancy and now I am pregnant again hope it’s a baby girl. For some reason i love drinking pop water here and there it’s not good .I would like to know what do you think is good to stop nausea and feeling like I’m going to throw up all the time ? I get it all the time any foods most of the time I get sick.
I have recently joined your subscription. I really LOVED this blog post and can’t wait for the next!!!
I pray that Your Baby is healthy and doing well.
Lots of love and support from South Africa
Preparing for the birth/labor & delivery is beneficial, but kind of like people going overboard with wedding planning and not investing in their future married life/relationship, preparing for life AFTER baby arrives is perhaps more important. I wish I’d done more of this with my husband before our daughter (17 months) was born. For instance, how will we cope with little sleep? How do we cope with an infant we can’t soothe? How do we cope with feeling helpless or frustrated? How can we try to get our needs met while caring for a helpless little person?
And, just in case you end up with a c-section, don’t sweat it. My c-section was absolutely fabulous–no joke. Baby was frank breech and my placenta was very low, so scheduled c-section at 39.5 weeks. I felt nothing during the operation, got to do skin to skin immediately, nursed right away, milk came in on time, and never needed anything more than ibuprofen in the days after. Took two months to get back into my pre-pregnancy jeans and my abs are as strong as ever. Whatever comes your way, you will get through it! God bless modern medicine, ancient wisdom, the love of family, and of course bless you and baby as you grow together.
Eeee! So excited for you both. My husband and I are just a couple weeks behind you with our first as well and it is such a miracle to grow and love a little one. I have found listening to your body is the best medicine, after all if we can grow a little human, voluntarily without even having to consciously thinking about it, then our body was designed to know what its doing and we should listen ๐ Thats my philosophy. I love using my oils as well. I have been warned to be careful with peppermint in the 2nd and 3rd trimester I believe as it can induce labor. I think moderation is key. All the best to your sweet little fam! xo
